1997 Plymouth Voyager

Never ceasing to amaze us and grapple us with its enigmatic look, Chrysler continues
to fine-tune its topnotch minivans even though they were just totally have been
given a whole new facelift just last year. But then look how brutal the competition
in its segment has become. The Plymouth Voyager is a working example. For '97,
Chrysler has made liftgate lamps, front reading/courtesy lamps, and a cargo-area
power outlet standard. Transmission-control software, ABS hardware, and audio
systems all have been upgraded. There are new base wheel covers and a cheaper
quad-seating option.
The Rallye decor package is now available on the long-wheelbase Grand Voyager
SE as well as the regular Voyager SE, and engine choices have been expanded. Available
engines include the base 150-bhp, 2.4-liter DOHC four-cylinder; the 150-bhp, SOHC
3.0-liter V-6; and a 158-bhp, 3.3-liter OHV V-6. The 3.0 comes with a three-speed
automatic, the 3.3 with a four-speed, and the 2.4 with one or the other, depending
on whether you acquire the base five-passenger
Voyager or the seven-passenger SE. New exterior colors are added for the Voyager
in 1997, Taupe Frost Metallic and Deep Amethyst Pearl. In addition, ABS system
is optimized to create less noise and less pedal feedback. Enhanced Accident Response
System provides safety features, which unlock power locks and turn on interior
lights after the airbag deploys. Left-side sliding door is optional on both models.
With all the minivans flooding the market due to its popularity, The 1997 Plymouth
Voyager is certainly holding on its own.
